General Notes
Mature trees produce large, spiny, 10-15 lb. cones which fall with a crash. Not a tree to sit under. Can be grown indoors. Native to Australia.
An Araucaria bidwillii in Camarillo is registered as a California Big Tree. It measures 112 feet high, with a trunk circumference of 214 inches and a crown spread of 59 feet.
