General Notes


Fan palm with dark, shiny leaves. Needs moderate watering. Identified by drooping leaf tips on mature plants. Native to Japan and Taiwan.
     A Livistona chinensis in Fremont is registered as a California Big Tree. It measures 74 feet high, with a trunk circumference of 52 inches and a crown spread of 11 feet.
