General Notes

A hybrid between Aesculus Hippocastanum × Aesculus pavia.

Showy double-red flowers in spring.

Has Unpleasant Bark fragrance.

Family: Hippocastanaceae

Rounded Shape.

Has Deciduous foliage.

Height: 35 - 50 feet.

Width: 30 - 40 feet.

Growth Rate: 24 Inches per Year.

Longevity 50 to 150 years.

Leaves Palmately Compound, Dark Green, Bronze or No Change, Deciduous.

Flowers Showy. Red. Flowers in Spring. Has perfect flowers (male and female parts in each flower).

Brown Capsule, Large (1.50 - 3.00 inches), fruiting in Fall Wildlife use it.

Bark Dark Brown, Fissured.

Shading Capacity Rated as Dense in Leaf.
