Trainable as a standard. Branches droop but resist breakage.

Native to Southeastern Coast of North America.

Trees may be referred to as male or female.

Tree Characteristics

Conical or Oval Shape.

Has Evergreen foliage.

Height: 20 - 30 feet.

Width: 8 - 12 feet.

Growth Rate: 12 to 36 Inches per Year.

Leaves Elliptic, Green, No Change, Evergreen.

Flowers Inconspicuous. White. Flowers in Spring. Has either male or female flowers (dioecious). Trees may be sold as male or female.

Persistent, Red or Yellow Drupe, Small (0.25 - 0.50 inches), fruiting in Fall or Winter Wildlife use it.

Bark Gray, Rough or Smooth.

Shading Capacity Rated as Low to Moderately Low in Leaf.
