General Notes
Needs ample water. Resistant to oak root fungus. Several cultivars are commercially available. Has fragrant bark and leaf. Native to California.
A Sequoia sempervirens in Jedediah Smith State Park is registered as a California Big Tree. It measures 321 feet high, with a trunk circumference of 950 inches and a crown spread of 80 feet.
