General Notes

Known commonly as Nyanga flat-top because of its flat-topped nature. Will drop its leaves in cooler climates.  In the wild can reach 50 feet.

Has thorns.

Native to Africa.

Rounded or Vase Shape.

Has Evergreen to Partly Deciduous foliage.

Height: 25 feet.

Width: 30 feet.

Growth Rate: 12 Inches per Year.

Longevity Less than 50 years.

Leaves Bipinnately Compound, Light Green, No Change, Evergreen to Partly Deciduous.

Flowers Showy. Yellow. Flowers in Spring. Has perfect flowers (male and female parts in each flower).

Brown Pod, fruiting in Fall, Winter or Summer.

Bark Dark Gray.

Shading Capacity Rated as Moderate in Leaf.

Litter Issue is Dry Fruit.
